THE SEVEN HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE
According to “7 Habits for Highly Effective People” by Dr. Stephen R. Covey, the details are as follow:
Habit 1 - Be Proactive
The first habit is becoming proactive: More than just taking the initiatives, meaning taking responsibility for your life.
Habit 2 - Begin With The End In Mind
Habits 2 suggests that, in everything we do, start with a clear destination. That way, we can make sure the steps we're taking are in the right decisions.
Habit 3 - Put First Things First
In order to manage ourselves effectively, we must put first thing first. We must have the discipline to prioritize our daily basis based on what is most important, not what is most urgent.
Habit 4 - Think Win-Win
The 4th habit suggests that in order to establish effective interdependent relationships, we must commit to creating WIN-WIN situations that are mutually beneficial and satisfying to each party.
Habit 5 - Seek First To Understand
Then To Be Understood
Before we can suggest solutions, offer
advice, or otherwise express our views and opinions to other people we must seek to deeply understand them and their perspective through empathic listening
Habits- 6 Synergize
By understanding and valuing the differences in another person's perspective, we have the opportunity to create synergy, that allows us to uncover new possibilities through openness and creativity.
Habits- 7 Sharpen the Saw
To be effective, we must devote the time to renewing ourselves physically, spiritually, mentally, and socially. Continuous renewal allows us to synergistically increase our ability to practice each habit.
Lighthouse School
โรงเรียนต้นแบบผู้นำ
Satit Bangna School is certified as a Lighthouse School for all levels (Kindergarten - Elementary School - Secondary School). We are the first school in Thailand, the first local school in Southeast Asia, and the 172nd school in the world.
Lighthouse School is a model school for leaders, originating from Dr.
Stephen R. Covey's book "7 Habits of Highly Effective People". The
book draws on research that examines the habits of successful individuals in
their personal lives and their work around the world. These 7 habits have been
adopted as training courses for senior executives to be able to work
effectively. The training course has been highly accepted from leading business
organizations around the world since then. Therefore, there is a question “Why
do we have to wait for senior management to be able to learn how to be
productive?” “If our children start knowing the 7 Habits at the school level,
they might be more effective in the future.” Therefore, a course named “ The
Leader In Me” which integrates the implementation of 7 Habits has been
developed and systematically used in schools.
